In 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The Declaration seeks to ensure that all human beings should have the same rights and be treated with dignity , regardless of their nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other condition. Governments and companies must therefore contribute to this.
